I've got a 98 GSR with 130,000K. I bought it around 70K and the only thing that has gone wrong at around 112k was the clutch master cylinder. Otherwise this car has been a tank.

I don't know how it was driven for the first 70K but I'm not very hard on the car.

What is the avg life for a GSR clutch? Should I just wait for it to fail?

 

if it's not bad then don't worry about it. clutch life depends on how the car was driven.

ive had my 98 gsr for all of my 136k w/ the same clutch untill about 3 weeks ago i felt my pressure plate i thought was going out. pulled the trans and found that the bracket that holds the springs on the clutch disc came apart and binding against the pressure plate, replaced with a very nice exedy stg 1 full kit w/ 9.5 lb flywheel, $323 shipped.
