ok start car idles at 3k rpms, pull vaccum line off map sensor idles at 1k then but sputters black smoke an runs rich.... idle screw set all way in, all wiring is fine...jus cant figure this out

 

you have a vacuum leak somewhere or your iacv is stuck open (which i guess would still be considered a vacuum leak)...the reason your idle drops when u pull ure map vacuum line off is because its running so rediculously rich that its tryin to die out

 

well did you just do a mpfi swap? if so deff. go back n check your wires, i just got done with mine, i had to go back and connect 2 wires i cut on the ecu side of tha harness. it did the same thing your talking about, mine also was surging when warm but that was my IM leaking could be acouple things, let me know what you find
