Default Where is the ECU temp sensor?

I have an 89 Civic. Stock d15 blah blah blah. It keeps throwing injector code and the injectors are fine. It smoke a tiny bit which is really good for 210,000 miles. It barely burns any oil if any that I know of (1,500 since last oil change and oil line is just barely below dot). It doesn't seem to have any sort of head gasket leak... Coolant is free of oil, vise versa... But it still smokes a little. And it definitely smells like it is running really rich. It has new oxygen sensor too.

My friend who is a graduated mechanic thinks that maybe the ECU temp sensor is bad and so the car thinks it is cold all the time therefor giving too much fuel, making it run rich and smoke a little.

Does this sound like hogwash? If not where is the ECU temp sensor. I could find one temp sensor on the left side of the block right below the distributer, is that it? Or is that the one for the gauge? Are there two? Any help would be good. I want my car to stop smelling like gas.

Thanks for the help. Sorry it is a long post.

Does it sound like that could be the problem?
