they are the same.
B18C blocks are all the same. GSR's(SIR-G in japan) have P72 pistons(less compressin) while the type R (B18C5 or B18c3 for jdm) have different pistons and head work(they are also rocking factory ported B16 heads, type R cams. Possibly valvesprings valves too....possibly)

all jdm itr's and sir-g's had b18c's. there are no number designations.
but the itr b18c's do have the different head, and valvetrain that you mentioned
