Could this have been my high flow cat going bad? I had rattling coming from under my car and then it disappeared all of sudden.

And now VTEC feels like its struggling up top for power.

Could it be clogged?

 

Does it happen whle turning or while in idle ? Check to see the the exhaust is supported by all hangers. Also check for rust in the exhaust system.

 

It was happening at idle.

The exhaust system is fine because I had it checked by a local exhaust shop.

I did notice the other day more white smoke coming from exhaust than usual. It only did it that one time.

Im guessing a bad or clogged cat.

What do you guys think?

 

i had a rattling noise from underneath my car for a while, and the exhaust LOOKED fine, but I think it was something wrong w/my cat. After taht i just replaced the whole exhaust system and no more rattling, just a giant fart

 

so was there anything wrong with the cat? or did you go cat-back or header-back?

im thinking of getting a new cat back too.

 

I replaced the cat and the rest of the piping etc. back to the muffler. took care of the rattling noise anyways

 

i have a little rattling noise too but it was because i bent my exhaust piping a little while back..plus it only rattles when i have no exhaust on..but its the resignator..

 

my car rattles SOMETIMES within 1.5-2k RPM anytime else its perfectly normal. any suggestions of what it might be?

sounds like its coming from the engine on the drivers side.
