just depends on what u like, i like the 06-07si because they have LSD, if it was a choice between 02-04 rsx-s and 06-up si i would go wit the si... it has lsd and the k20z3 is pretty strong! but if its 05-06 rsx-s then it would be all up to u, which body style u like better n stuff like that. the k20z1 (05-06 rsx-s) doesnt come with lsd

im in the same boat as you man. im leaning more towards a 05+ type s because i like the body style. but for the same price i can get a brand new si with navi. but im not a fan of the si's. the si does come with lsd but im gunna be taking a tansmission class next semester so i might just pop one in if i do get the rsx. i would get the rsx cause theres more parts avaliable to you such as suspension.

If you plan on heavily modifying whichever car you choose, I'd go the Type S. Like mentioned above, there's more parts readily available and I think the styling is better on the S. But if you only plan on lowering, lip kit, maybe an intake or something, than I say the Si. Gotta decide on what you wanna do with it!

I'd go with the Si. It's already got the LSD, it's got a better intake manifold, improved suspension design, etc etc. It's a hell of a car.

First off i got under grand and a car alarm and i am only driving here and there i have a jeep that is my everyday so that cuts down on the time its not safe. and to i love how rsx's look and handle but my girl friend wants one so we are going to get her an 06 in blue if we can find it. She said that she would brake up with me if i got an rsx. lol but either way ill be getting one so its all good. and the evo is got a 3" turbo back exhuast and tuned. should be something like 320 crank power or about 290 whp tq in the 300 zone and the awd you just cant beat. Im guessing its running 0-60 in the 4.8 zone and a 1/4 in low 13's. and again thanks for the input although i did go to the dark side lol still a honda guy at heart!

it may just be me
but i wouldn't buy a used evo, especially a 4 year old one
keep in mind that it is a mitsu that's been taken care of (or beat on) by someone else

I have my 05 type-s for 2 months now and I'm very happy with it. I came out of a 2004 sentra spec-v and have no regret getting my type-s. That's the one retarded thing Acura did was not putting an LSD on the type-s.

Of course, the optimist in me says that the car would have been owned by another auto enthusiast, and they knew how to properly care for it and attend to every little maintenance detail while they had it.

Sometimes, I'm more likely to trust a car from a smart race driver with thorough documentation & enough funds for quality repairs, than I would from some kid who's been beating the **** out of the car and not taking good care of it.

Yes it is true that the type-S does not have an LSD but you can def. have the dealership put one in. Rsx type-s with LSD is fantastic let me tell ya

well i am very happy with the evo and it was taken care of well. and i have of docs on it and all that fun ****. And unliked DSMs the evo is alot better built. It is said that the stock bottom end can handle 700hp. With a turbo back exhuast and intake filter, boost controller and a tune and it can put down a strong 350-400whp. turbo back "just make one" cost about $250 and 4 hours "make everything all pretty" intake is $250+ $10 for shipping and thats a k&n short ram with carbon fiber heat sheild. "bling blang affect with the heat sheild" and $54 for a good boost and $89 for the boost controller nothing crazy good but not shitty ****. and the tuned ecu is just under 400 with shipping from BR racing. so all and all 1k and i get 120-150 strong safe horse power. And the great part about the evo is its awd so i can get the power to the ground.
bad side is it weights 3200lbs so it what 400-500lbs more then a rsx but ya im ready to close this.

I like The RSX over the Si right now because of the suspension, The new Si rear suspension is just not for me. Anyone notice that the Si rear suspension is not a coilover type. The strut and the spring is separate and would be a problem to go with a full coilover suspension setup. It sort of like the new CRV's rear suspension, I don't know if you can go with rear coilover suspension. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it is totally new to Honda civic, i wish they never replaced the older double wishbone suspension.
