Default Help me find this flange!

Well, I'm doing some a custom cat setup for an NSX and I cannot seem to find flanges that match the OEM Honda ones. I got some ones I THOUGHT would work from Midas, but it was a no go...please, direct me to where I can order these and guarantee a fit! Cutting the stock cats is unfortunately not an option...

I'm looking for the one on the TOP side of the cat in that pic...the female flange. Stainless would be preferred but not totally necessary. Thanks for any help!!

Looks like a standard flange for a doughnut gasket. The other side has the lip that holds the doughnut. Can't imagine a muffler shop wouldn't have these. What's the diameter? I know autoparts stores that have good exhaust supplies usually carry the various flanges. Franks autosupermarket here in PA is very known for carrying alot of exhaust stuff...they'd have it.

just about any local muffler supply or muffler shop should have that. I know i have a few in stock, and i don't stock many exotic muffler supplies since most of my stuff is weld-on.

I've *never* been able to find parts like that at local shops. What they'll usually do is take a piece of 2.5, flare it, and pass it through a 2.5 flat flange before welding the end of the pipe to whatever's behind it. It works the same, but I'd rather have the flange.
If you guys know of any place that's likely to carry these in stock I'm all ears.
Napa, autozone, pep boys, advance, murrays, midas, mogo, and a half dozen other places (muffler shops) I tried I had absolutley no luck, they just stared at me. Thank goodness I live close to 'stainless works' for when I need random things.

No problem. I went a little nuts trying to find a donut flange like that when I did the cat-back for my STi. The bolt spacing wasn't exact and I had to slot the holes a little bit, but in the end it worked out ok. I think you're right that $20 a piece for 1/8" thick steel stamping is a little steep, but it looks like it might be a little difficult to make, and really not many people carry them. There are a couple sources for stainless ones around as well if you're interested.

Of course! Link me up I just go tthese in the mail and they actually appear to be stainless...just at a quick glance though.

update: Apparently my newb status has increased, because the 2.5" jdm bolt spacing is WAYYYY different from the USDM stuff....wow. Now I can't even use THESE!

Such such such trouble. I'm to the point of ordering the fleabay test pipes for 35 a piece and cutting the flanges off of them. Ridiculous...

I had to slot the holes to get it to work on my subaru but it's held up fine for multiple track days and loads of autocrossing.
vibrant has them in stainless (www.vibrantperformance.com) but they are 50+ dollars a piece.
I think that one place store . racing solutions . something or other also has them in stainless for a lower price but I couldn't remember the link

Keep the help comin, thanks...I don't see anything on racing solutions though.....

I really specifically need the bowled flange as opposed to slipping a 2 bolt flange behind a flared pipe...

I gave you my email to contact me but you haven't so I figured you solved the problem. Why are you bumping the thread then?
