what do you think, totaled or not
straighten out the frame.. get a new clip if nothing else is broken. how far in the bay did the damage go? any mount points shifted? any more pics with the hood removed? (id say poped but..its pretty open)
BTW what exactly happened? i mean... your support is stretched ALLL THE WAY UP!

doesnt seem to be any frame damage as hood took the blow, not the bumper. damage stops at the header. slight crack in header.
deatils: i was heading north bound in far left lane (red lane) and a car (purple line) obstructed by a large truck (blue line) pulled in front of me.
the truck was crossing onto a side road and as he crossed out of my way i saw an accord beginning to turn right across two other lanes and into mine. seeing me he tried to drive into the ditch but i caught him in his rear drivers quarter panel.

I slid my 95 Del Sol SI under a ford escape. They totaled it. It estimated about $5000 in damages. I got most of the parts for $800 and I need someone to paint it soon.

That's not true. Say your airbags go off because of a defect.... your car is not automatically totalled.
It's hard to tell how much damage there even is, much less if it's likely to be totalled. Call insurance up and have them deal with it. They're the professionals.
I'm betting it's likely to be totalled though. How many miles, what year and trim?
If you want to possibly keep it though and rebuild it:
- Find out what the damage is.
- Get it repaired.
If the car was never reported to insurance then it wouldn't have ever been totalled and regardless of the damage the car could have gotten would still have a clean title.

I think he meant that with the damages plus the airbags it would be considered totaled. Thats what my insurance said.
Judging by the damage we see, I would say it is totaled.

I say it's likely it's totalled too, but it depends on what the insurance states as value of the car and cost of the repairs.
And I've heard LOTS of people say in the past that they think that if you're in ANY accident and the airbags are blown, then the car is automatically totalled.

no frame damage? look at ur entire rad support, on these honda's its not a body on frame there are 3 subframes, the body in white counts a subframe, but it is very fixable in ur garage its fixable, if you can weld not crap weld like ht but really weld,
start off by removing **** rad looks gone, pull the ac, expletive it you dont need a/c bitch!
drill out spot welds and get at it, you can be fisnihed with it in a day, unless you just suck then itll take you 6 months haha

O yeah that ***** totalled I would bet anything on it. Dont worry though your about to get paid if it was the other guys fault. My 98 ex got hit and it had 126,xxx miles on it and the insurance company paid me nearly 9 grand of it.

90% of the time, if a vehicle is in an accident and the airbags are blown...it's a total loss. If it's just one airbag, depending on the year of the vehicle, it's usually not totalled, but if it's drivers side, knee bolster, passenger side...usually totalled. Generally the idea is that if you hit something hard enough to blow the airbags, you are gonna need to replace, bumper assy (reinforcement, absorber, cover, mount brackets), a fender or two, hood, rad support (upper lower tie bar/both), radiator, condensor, headlamp pockets, wiring harness (sometimes), headlamps, then come the expensive part...the airbags. Along with the airbag modules, you need airbag sensor, control module, and clock spring. You get the picture. So for a 95 Civic if the airbags were to have been blown, yes it's a total.
