I recently installed a pioneer head unit in my 95 ej1 and after everything was said and done, the dash lights are very dim including the clock, climate control, and cluster. The dimmer switch makes the lights dimmer and brighter, but even on the brightest setting the light is hardly visible.

whoever wired your pioneer head unit up may have wired it up incorrectly, as in a series circuit.

first, test your battery and see if it's giving out 12.40v. if not, your batt could be the cause. start off by doing the obvious things and work your way down to the small things. goodluck.
