Hondata IM gasket and Euro r
Ive heard you have to trim it or something. Can someone explain ? Also is the bolt pattern for the egr bolk off plate the same on both the usdm and euro r IM ?
when you match up the gasket w/ the intake you will notice that the gasket will hang over the top edges of the ports near the injectors. you can use a dremel to match the gasket to the ports exactly.
btw, for anyone using a stock gasket w/ the euro r manifold it is not very well known, but you will either have to trim the casting ridges on the back of the head and/or trim the flange on the intake to avoid vaccume leaks and possibly cracking the flange. the reason this isnt a problem w/ the hondata gasket is because of the gasket being thicker it spaces the intake further away from the head and allows just enough clearance for the flange not to hit the casting ridges on the back of the head.
