Do you guys think it is a big downgrade if i went from a gsr swap to a b20 swap?
Well, i have a 98 ls with a gsr swap and the previous owner who did the swap did a bad job. MY driver mount recently broke off and the screws got stuck inside the block. MY engine is now a little titled down. MY engine has oil marks on the vale cover, so its burning oil. I can hear the vtec but i do not feel the "kick" as most do. Once i hit around 5k rpm i can hear a different sound from the exhust, but my mph still stays consistant. I just recently bought the car for 1 month something and all these things are happening to the car. The cost to get the broken thread that is stuck inside the mount will cost around 1k to get it fixed so my mechanic reconmmended me to swap in a b20.

That seems kinda crazy just to drill out some bolts, and use some bolt remover.
They have kits that you can get pretty much anywhere to spin the bolts out,
Once you drill it out enough just stick one in, and twist.
If they just broke, and still have a lot left in the hole, they might not even need to be rethreaded either.
The Only reason I could see it being 1k to do this, is if they need to pull the engine,
I'm sure you could find another way to do it without pulling it though.

GA, they do not have restriction here. The only restriction i know of in the United States is California. b20 is better than b18b right?

Yea the engine has to be pulled out in order to drill the bolt out. MY mechanic quote that he can do it for 500, but if he does not succeed, he will charge me 500 as well.
