A/T transmision lockup on Manual tranny
I'm totally new the honda world. I have a 94 Si and my check engine light on. I just the Ecu and the code i'm getting is #19 which is Automatic Transmission Lockup control value.. I dont hear Vtec at all. will this code stop vtec from hitting? Also I have reason to beleive this a A/T ecu.
Thanks,
Marc

if you're getting CEL#19 it is an auto trans ECU. Look at the side of the ECU, note the P28-_X_.
X will be a 5 if it's an auto trans, 0 if it's a manual trans.
If you can solder decently it's really easy to convert it to manual trans.
CEL#19 should stop VTEC.

the wiki on PGMFI is down.
here is how to do it...
with the connector on the left and the parts facing up, the lower right hand corner of the ECU. Below the location of the external EEPROM(chip), there are several resistors.
Remove RP17 and RP18, install a jumper across RP18.
You can also simply leave RP18 in there and jumper accross it. Same thing.
The leg of a resistor works fine as a jumper.
