Default ARM REST SWAP

I think i posted about this before, but now I have a different question that some of ya'll might be able to help me out with.

I am really sick of my 2001 arm rest rubbing on the inside of my elbow/arm because it is not positioned very nicely whenthe seat is reclined at a certain angle. It's just TOO SHORT.

Can I swap over a 2004-2005 style arm rest / center console into my 01 Coupe?

These arm rests have the built-in storage right? And they sit flat and fixed in between the seats, which is what I want.

If this can be done, what needs to be taken from the donor car? Does it essentially swap right out?

It looks to me like I can swap everything from the armrest up to the back of the shifter bezel?

Any pics would help in illustrating too.

Thanks guys!

... discontinued.

NOBODY else has swapped their seat-mounted armrests?

Or at least has known anybody who has done so?

Rough it like I do, if it's a problem. I've never had a problem with no armrest

pretty sure the 2002 and 2003 have the armrest built in(like the 04-05) but are the same as the 01 console everywhere else. so that would be your best bet. the 04-05 is different where it connects to the dash, may still fit but i know for a fact that the 02-03 console does fit the 01. also the 04-05 has a different ebrake
