I was wounder who makes mounts for a k20 in a crx without the need for cutting the hood open? Can I see some pics too if you have them? thanks

 

Nobody does.

If you want to keep the stock hood, the oil pan will be WAY too low. If that is your plan, time to one off a mount kit..

 

What about using the jdm hood?

 

If you use the Hasport mounts with a SIR style hood(carbon fiber or metal), it will clear, but you will have to trim some of the webbing underneath. If you get the FiberImages SIR style carbon fiber hood, it will fit with no modifications because the FI doesnt have webbing underneath which leaves the necessary space you need to make it fit.

And if you want a k24 underneath the hood, your pretty screwed

EDIT:Damn bro, I forgot to mention that you have to use the 3 pulley setup and get rid of the idler pulley to make it work.

If you scroll down you'll see a pic of the red crx with a 3 pulley setup and the FiberImages hood closing fine. And if you go down even more, you'll see the 3 pulley setup I was talking about.

what car? I just have an EF beater sedan right now

 

I have a one piece front end on my CRX with a K24 and had to cut a hole for clearance. I bought a low cowl induction scoop and am going to glass it on to cover the hole. I have it sitting on the hood now and it looks great. Check out the photos at http://www.speedsceneracing.com on the racecar project page and you can see how it looks.
Dont scrap the project, just make it work!
