parts from kragens
I just picked up an '88 hatch (third in the family). I'd like to change the water pump, timing belt, and thermostat. I'm just wondering what your opinions and experiences are with the parts that kragens carries. I'm contemplating spending twice as much for the parts from Honda, but would rather not if they're just as reliable.

if you have the chips to spend always go o.e. if not u should be ok with after market parts... i used a pep boys water pump and tbelt, i made sure i went with o.e. honda when it came to the cam and crank seals
I would check to see where the stuff at kragens is made. The better quality aftermarket stuff comes from japan or europe. If its from china or korea or something like that I would forget it and get oe stuff. also when you change the water pump and TB dont forget to get a new tensioner pulley while you are in there it needs to be replaced as well.

i work at kragens as long as u go with the premium parts ur good to go cuz the premiums such as new water pump (not reman) are good. i use em all on my beater car, but when it comes to my crx i use oem. just like everyone else.
