-C.E.L question involving code 12-
A while ago I posted a thread about a problem code involving my EGR "lift sensor". You guys did a great job on helping me out to find the code that I was looking for, which was code (12) the EGR lift sensor. I really haven't had the time to check vacuum on anything as the manual said. Has anyone ever had this same problem? That is with the "Lift sensor"? If so, what corrected the problem? I've visually checked the lines (that indicate no leaks), and I've reset the ecm several times, and it continues to pull a code (12).
I've taken apart the main EGRV and cleaned the hell out of it, but I've also noticed that in the service manual, it's actually showing 3 EGRV locations. My question.......Is there anyway I can get the CEL off, by trying to clean another component in the EGR's system that may unclog something, so I don't have to spend almost $300 on the valve with the sensor installed? My ludes running great, but I want to make the most out of my fuel to air ratio to provide the correct MPG. Or does this not play a huge factor?
Thanks again,
