Default VIR south for first track day?

I'm looking at doing VIR south early July for my first track day but someone told me it probably wouldn't be the best place to ride for my first track day due to how fast it is and some off camber turns. Whats your opinion for those who've ridden it. My main thought is I want to do 1 track day before VIR full course later in July which I really want to do.... This will be on my rc51 btw

You can pop your cherry on the Jefferson circuit with SportbikeTrackTime July 22nd. I'll be on there then. VIR South was actually the second track I ever went on (second full day too) and it wasn't too overwhelming, though you have the potential to go a lot faster on the straights than I did with my SV, but you can short shift .

In short, I wouldnt worry about it, my friend did VIR North which is more challenging after owning a bike for 2 months, zero prior experience. He checked his ego at the door and rode at a pace he felt comfortable.

well July 20 is VIR full course which I REALLY want to do. I think South may be the best cause it fits right in with July 4th holiday plans and I could go right there for Saturday track day without taking any days off. July 20 is a RDO for me too.

oops, misread your time frame. Honestly, I wouldn't worry about VIR South one bit

it'd help if I do VIR full later cause I will have ridden the tougher part already.... I'm looking to see if there's anyone is having an event at pocono in June so I don't jam all my stuff into 1 month. I'd say Summit Main in June but there's a waiting list for that right now

I'd like to go there but in July at least it's the week before VIR full course... Maybe I'll try and get one of the days in later in the year there

If you do hit me up for sure, our pit is usually pretty hooked up because I live 30 minutes away

I'll see. Everything right now is tentative and with work things can change pretty easily with little notice. I've not signed up for anything yet but will sometime soon

VIR south was my first track day - **** was wicked.. I did not lift my butt off the seat ONCE.

i was leaning pretty good, and I was scared going out there the first time, but then I loved it
