Default ITB's on a B-series in an EF

I've been searching (promise guys) and I haven't been able to find much about anyone running ITB's on an EF. My main question is about how much firewall clearance we have. I figured if you can squeeze a GSR manifold back there that you should be able to sneak some ITB's inbetween the head in the firewall (if the velocity stacks are short enough). So, do we have enough room?? any help would me much appreciated..

also, feel free to tell me to go to hell or search more or whatever else is normally a reply to a dumb question

Thanks

I'm pretty sure it bolts in with aftermarket mounts (or rear integra L bracket mount) with no metal fabrication. I'd be most worried about the clearance on the right side (passenger) for the tranny. You might have to just bang away at the area next to the stock battery mount, but that's about it. I'm sure there's stuff on it online, just google "GSR in a EF"

You guys all kick ***.. exactly what I was lookin' for before I picked up my ITB's this weekend

Good to know the TWM airbox and all fit as well. I would love to see pics installed whenever you take them. I'd rather use a filter box on the street than individual "sock-type" filters anyways. I think Jenvey makes a filter setup too.

Anyways, thanks again everyone

Prolly TWM ITB's as well. They offer em for B series motors.

I think I paid $1400 shipped...here on HT. They're TWM's (50mm), and yes the airbox fit but they're really very restricting. You can feel the loss in power. Funny after the install, I thought I broke something cuz I couldn't hear my Vtec, hahaha...

Holy ****. I just saw your numbers in your sig. Nice. I wondered how much the airbox restricted itbs. You live in Cali too? You must not be able to drive that on the street. I imagine the CHP would crucify you for your setup.

Thanks. Believe it or not, I still drive it on the street every now and then especially on local meets. I put a custom mandrel bent 2.5 inch piping from the header and i kept my Greddy SP muffler..it's quiet enough that I can pull next to a CHP and he wouldn't know what I have under the hood..Once I open it up though is a different story.

Airbox restriction? I haven't dynoed it because I can't justify spending another $200 for tuning when I know it'll be slower, but I'm guessing maybe 10whp? I just put the airbox when I drive around town, but I take it out when I'm autoXing or driving home from a meet...you never know
