I'm getting a rough idle on my Integra engine, and it sorta wobbles between 800 and 900 rpm. Normal used to be a very steady 1100. Sometimes when the engine is returning to idle after a high rpm (which for me is around 3,500), it spikes down to 500 before returning to the wobbly 8-900 and it feels momentarily like the engine will die. Once in a while, after being warmed up, the engine will have its normal steady 1100 idle but usually not for long.

Also when I start the car in the cold normally, it idles at 1500-2000 rpm before getting warm. Now it stays closer to 1000 cold.

Anyone have any usual suspects?

 

It sounds like your idle air control valve is sticking. Or possibly a clogged or restricted air passage for the valve. clean the throttle body with some carb cleaner. It should do the trick.
