ABS
Lets say i wanted to remove the abs system from my car. How would i go about doing that. Like can i reuse the calipers that are on the car now? Is the preportioning valve i have usable? How much plumping would need to be done? Would i have to do anything electrical. And last of all who needs an abs module ha.

Why?
Why?

how? there is a purpose behind abs, and i can think of a few times where it has saved me from running over a curb, or stopped me short of ramming the rear end of a another vehicle. Especially given the weather conditions here in Wisconsin. I wouldn't touch the ABS system if my life depended on it.

By plumbing i meant how much new brake line would i have to run to get around the abs unit.</TD></TR></TABLE>Check out one of those parts websites that use the drawings out of the EPM. Look at the drawing of brake lines for '94 with ABS & compare against '94 without ABS.
I think in '94 the ABS car probably still has a proportioning valve. Look whether it's the same part number.
If it were my car, I'd probably want to fix the ABS rather than remove it.

I have a feeling that pretty soon the system is going to need some maintenance. I been getting along fine with the 1990 accord with no options at all. Not saying that then abs is no a good idea for saftey, but i dont like having something on the car that I'm not able to maintain myself. I'm not trying to be raped at the honda dealer for some abs when its something i dont use i dont even want. If i put my self in a situation when i feel like i might need abs ill just lift my foot off the break and put it back real fast like that. Hopefully that will get me stopped in time. I think the abs is ugly for 1. Takes up too much room. Lotta people say its trouble cuz itll start to leak. Big dollars to fix it. I hate to have an idiot light starring at me in the dash and thats just one more possibility. One more computer onboard to foul up my driving excitement.
Thanks for the replys and the help where to look for answers yall. One other reason I'd like to get away from abs is I have a sneaking sucspision that its causing my break pedel to slowly creep to the floor on different days of the week. Like my brakes will feel tight all day long driving. And then out of no where ill step on the brakes and then ever so slightly it will go all the way to the floor takes like 35 seconds but it will be at the floor and brake pressure will be gone. So you let up and the pedel is hard again and then makes its way to the floor again. I've had bad master cylinders before and none of em acted like this. Intermitant brakes that were just fine a second ago leads me to believe it isn't air in the line either. There no loss of brake fluid that ive notice. So the abs is the scapegoat cuz i already dont like it. I'm mean.

The ABS doesn't have the ability to act like that.
What happens is fluid leaks past the piston & back into the reservoir. This allows the pedal to sink to the floor. Usually it sinks slowly & smoothly.
This leakage can be caused by tiny tears in the lip of the MC piston seal. Sometimes they seal, sometimes not. Sometimes it's triggered by any tiny bit of dirt in the fluid. Most times bleeding will fix it for a week or 2, but almost never fixes it permanently. New rubber components like piston seals can fix it, but I haven't had any luck finding those parts.
Sometimes it's caused by corrosion & pitting in the bore of the MC. In this case, new rubber piston seals won't help.
It seems to be influenced by temperature, happens more when it's hot. I don't understand WHY this matters, but that's how it behaved in my '95 Integra. I was stubborn, tried bleeding it a few times. But it was never really fixed until I got a new master cylinder.

its simple to replace the MC..go to autozone and get one..I got a brand new one from there it was an OEM replacement it was the same brand and everything as the one that was in my car before..fixed everything..I had the same Problem..just make sure you bench bleed it before you put it in and then bleed the whole system out to get all the old fluid out!
