Knock sensor
well i never had a cel for knock sensor until i put my p30 ecu in to run the 2000 b16a2
....my p28 ran fine
....aftet about five minutes of driving the knock sensor goes off....i have solid motormounts could they cause the knock sensor to activate because off the vibrations.....i also tried to put a switch on the knock sensor wire put to no avail...any help will be great....jsut to make sure the knock sensor is right next to the oil filter with one wire correct?
thanks for the help in advance

I don't know why one ecu would throw that code and not the other. thats all you changed correct. second what do you mean by wiring in a switch to the knock sensor. im not familiar with that. From what i got out of it you tried wiring it in so the ecu wont see the knock sensor. If thats whay you did you need to get the ecu flashed so that it doesn't look for you knock sensor other wise you will keep throwing that light and when that light is on for a knock sensor it will never engage vtec
The P28 was probably chipped and wasn't looking for it.
Are you sure the knock sensor isn't bad? I have used extremely stiff mounts and never had a problem with the code unless something was legitemately wrong.

I think the knock sensor is closer to the top of the block and the oil pressure sensor is next to the oil filter. mine did the same thing but it was because I wasnt running a knock sensor. you have to wire it up if you want to

uuuhhh maybe because a P28 doesn't detect a knock sensor, while a P30 does. please stop posting
