Default Retrofitters ONLY

I was wondering if it's OK to have retrofitted HID without wiring harness?

What are the effects of not using a wiring harness?

*may*, but did it actually happen to someone?

What i did was splice the oem low beam wires and connect them to the ballasts directly. Is that gonna fry the oem wiring?

I ran TSX ballasts for driving lights and TechOne Ballasts for High Beams. I cut off the OEM connectors that connect to the bulb and hard wired the Ballasts to the OEM Wires. Yes I ran a chance on ruining the wires, but IMO they only draw the excessive current at initial startup, other than that its about the same or less current draw so the wires can handle it. I never ONCE had problems and I have had 2 sets of Retrofitted HID Headlights on the car

my engineering friend had explained this to me, it would work just fine, even the factory hid cars use the same wiring gauge on the non hid cars, the difference is that they use more relays to reduce the current draw.

Wow, 2 HID, that's kinda excessive. Must look nice though. How long you've been running that setup?
