Black rims, Chrome Lip
I have a silver 01 civic coupe with the black DIY headlights and soon to be black type-r grill. From what i have seen, almost everyone gets black rims with a chrome lip on a silver civic. I can see why, it looks frickin sweet. Unfortunately i do not want to go quite the route of everyone else. For some reason i like the Konig Unknowns, just have since they came out. Is there any reason not to get them? I know they might seem a have a little too much rice/bling factor. Other than that, are there any suggestions for black w/ chrome/polished lip from Konig? Im thinking 17s
What about tuner2's?

i got a 02 em2....and i got 16' gun metal slip stream with polish lips....16 is the biggest u would wanna go for and get either tire size 45 or 50 to have a nice drop....
i have an 02 silver sedan with flat balck rota boost wheels and it looks wicked
ya 16" is the way to go. i have 205/50/16 tires and had some rubbing issues so i would go with 205/45/16

That being your opinion of course. There's nothing wrong with 17's on a 7th gen coupe, they look physically bigger than thier predecessors and have bigger wheel arches, so 17's look fine.
It's personal choice. 16's aren't the biggest i would wanna go for, or i wouldn't be running 17's would i?

Uhh not really.. I have been told by many people it flows nicely with my car.
ps: I used to have 15" slips and it looked ugly so now I got 17's and its looks just right to me. Maybe it was that pic I took that made it look big ? Heres another one I have

If you're all about the looks, get 17's. Keep this in mind:
17's = heavy = worse acceleration = worse gas mileage.
BTW the only cars I think black wheels with a polished lip looks good on are BMW sedans. I never liked the look on Hondas--any of them.

Jesus how long are u?
im not low, but even with 5 people in the car with my 205/50/16's i have NEVER rubbed.
I would rock 215/50 or 225/45's if i ever had to get new tires.

I agree that 16's is the way to go with 205 45 16 tires. 17 will work fine but only if you're doing the just the show thing. The konig unknown is definitely different and it's always better to have your own look than seeing the same o same o stuff. With a silver car, you can use any color and it still would look good. Post a pic when you're done with your ride.

I know what you're saying Todd, but i'm not "all about looks" actually. Yes, i do like the look of a 17 inch wheel on the 7th gen, and i don't go racing or anything like that, but i also love going out and giving my car a good work out in the twisties, where in this country outright acceleration doesn't matter quite so much as the roads are mostly very short straights and sharp twisty turns or slightly longer flowing bends.
Not all of us go racing and are fine with a nice happy medium of looks and acceleration that, to us at least, is plenty enough for what we need.
