After looking over several welding/fab forums on the vast internet, I have to say as well as many others, this is the most useful and informative welding/fab forum I have seen.
A lot of people like to associate a site about HONDAS as rice, but they are so wrong. Many people read this site off VW forums, domestic forums, etc... because we do so much trial and error/ and testing... There are people on here who could give a rats *** about hondas or cars in general, they are here because of their interest and passion for welding and fabrication on a site which partakes so heavily on which is hard to find, especially with so many legit and knowledgeable members we have. Most of the other fab forums move VERY slow and don't contain a lot of good useful information.
I have learned sooo much about welding (my new love) and metal fabrication on here. I like to see threads of new people posting their welding pics and having you all critique. As they listen and read, they post new pictures to show progress, so awesome, as I have been in the same shoes. The talent on here has to rival most others around on other forums if not surpass. This forum is of most importance and value to me as it is to most of you all I am sure. It isn't full of BS and carrying on most of the time, (haha).
I know we all on here can sometimes get up someones tree, but in the end, we are all cool about it and put it to rest behind us. We all are here to show off and learn from others.
I felt I would thank those who actively and professionally partake in this forum for all the useful knowledge me and many others soak in and improve on!
Thanks guys and keep this forum rocking like it has been!
Cheers

Love it. I check in every eve. just to see if there are any new threads I might learn something from. My progress over the past year in improving my fab skills has been enormous and this forum is a big part of that. I am considering building an nsx intake from scratch this summer - a project I would never have attempted a couple of years ago.

I have to agree that this is a great forum. There have been a lot of tricks I've learned that have made some of my projects much easier. Also, looking how someone else did something opens up ideas that you can brainstorm off of. Not copying, but using it as a starting point.
A year ago, I wouldn't have started restoring an 82 civic (I still need to post pics). Now, after replacing the floor pans in it, I realize I have a lot more talent than I thought I did. I also have a lot more respect for some of the people on here. Doing charge piping and exhaust works is easy. Making it look good and flow well take some time, talent, and patience. Step it up and do more intense projects, and it takes a lot more of all those things.
This has been a great sound board for all of us to share knowledge. When people from other boards join HT just to post in here, it's really cool to see. I think it proves that when you break it down, a car is just a car, no matter where the metal was originally assembled. Very cool.
