I need to know an easy way to remove some copper o rings from a block.Any certain tools, tricks or anything.

 

I use a small pick and just work it out. Once you get it started, it'll pull right out.

 

throw a rod through the block. just make sure the crack goes all the way to the deck surface. it shoudl come right out

I started with a small pick and stopped thinking there was possibly an easier way.I guess I'll go back to picking on it.I'll keep the rod idea in mind for future reference.Hope I never get to use it

 

i have used a small small drill bit and drill into the copper wire then use a pick to lift it up and rip it out.

i use a scratch aw, and a hammer to get the end peeled up, then it just pulls right out.

 

Well,I got them out with a very small punch that I ground down.It was a pita.The block was already decked and built so I was being careful.Thanks for the help.

 

are o-rings a bad idea? why are you guys taking it out?

 

ok so who sells copper o-rings? home depot ?
