Mike,
With the Aeromotive type valve it would be acceptable to install it on
the regulator, or fuel rail gauge port; as they are capable of 2000+
PSI.

hey pat, we are in a discussion about the placement of the fuel sample
valve on our sfwd cars. most of us are using an aeromotive or aeromotive
style regulator with a gauge port. some are putting the sample valve
there, and others like myself are figuring how to put it on the return
side of the regulator. they way we look at it from the "instructions"
that we are gathering, it goes in the gauge port on the reg. but they
way we interpret the rule, is on the return side.
if you could clarify, that would help.
thankyou,
-mike williamson.

That is where I installed mine last night. I read the aeromotive manual and it said to install it where the gauge went
So I have a sample valve on my return line, but it is neither of the valves people are mentioning. Are they making a big deal about what type of sample valve it is?

No need to update the rules, they clearly state on the return side of the rail, not the return side of the regulator.
