transmission questions
so i bought my 00 si about a month ago and the transmission detonated i have a hole right above my shift linkage in the clutch housing ..... would it be possible to mate a ls transmissions cluth housing to my transmission .. i know that the ls transmission will bolt up to my block but will the clutch housing be swappable and how hard would it be
ls tranny will bolt to ur b16... but it'll be pretty damn slow compared to a b16 tranny. clutch is interchangeable. basically everything is swappable from those transmissions. as long as ur not installing a cable tranny u shouldn't have a problem. while you're at it tho.. get urself a new flywheel or get ur flywheel resurfaced.

x2.
Everything is interchangable with any 94-01 Integra tranny. GL. Be a little more careful shifting next time.
Remember, completely depress the clutch before shifting

had the car less than a month ive got pics of the damage and will try and post later tonight .......... but yeah i can see where the severly abused part comes in
it's probably from not changing the fluid, or not having enough fluid. I can see wearing out syncros and sleeves from "abusive" driving, but this sounds like a lack of maintanance....which is a form of abuse i suppose.
I would not suggest putting an LS transmission, the B16 gearing is the best thing going for the 99-00 Si's.

i really dont want to use the ls transmission just the clutch housing off of one i just hope it fits to my transmission so i can use the stock trans. with a ls clutch housing

It will work. No need to worry. Do you think you're going to use the gears ect from your b16 trans in this housing? If you blew a hole in your trans, I'd suggest not using it again in a different case.

im hoping to use my gears yes i mean it still goes into gear it just has no pressure all the fluid is gone and as i said theres a hole in the clutch housing and its due to a crack found that out tonight i dont want to switch the eniter transmission housing just the cluth housings
oooh okay, nvm I missed this. I thought you blew a hole threw the trans with a part of a gear or something. If that were the case then, I wouldn't use ANYTHING from the old tranny.
If you just had a crack or something, then you might be okay. My only concern would be that if you ran those gears dry for any length of time, that you would have had some chafing and grinding. If you ran the trans dry for any length of time, I would seriously consider replacing the trans.

yeah the clutch housing is the only thing fucked up like i said i have pics but there on my girlfriends phone and ill show the hole and crack thats in the housing.... so its just my clutch housing not the whole transmission it still shifts in to gear and everything and right after it happened its been sitting not moved ive been waiting on a transmission
The LS clutch housing will be fine. I had previously assumed that the problem was within the gear section of the transmission. I would guess that the problem was due to an improperly installed clutch.
When you crack the cases apart you will be able to tell if the gears are destroyed or not. Theres a magnet in there that you should empty....it will have shavings in it ALWAYS...however if it has larger chucks of metal stuck to it you might have a problem.
Good luck
