Hey guys, I just finished a swap and took it for a spin. My 2nd gear is rather noisy. It doesnt grind or anything. It's just rather "whiney." Sounds almost like a reverse gear going fast. Is this normal? I also refilled the tranny with Honda MT tranny fluid before running it.

Whining as in a synchro going bad?

 

I dunno that's what I'm trying to find out. I shift into gear just fine. No scratches or anything. It's just 2nd gear sounds like as if you're going in reverse really fast.

 

Does it ever grind? I know that whining and a gear popping out is a sure sign of a nasty syncro.

 

doesn't pop out. doesn't grind. only happens in 2nd gear...
