recently my car was runing fine, and i just bought a new fuel rail and fpr and steelbraided fuel lines and new filter.. i put them all on and i didnt touch nothing else i put everything back togeather and i went to start my car and thier was nothing.. i got prime from the main relay etc i got fuel pressure on my guage.. now we tried charging the battery more which i have a 3day old red top optima battery so i doubt thats the problem.. i charged the battery and went to start car and click click now... so we got somewhere... now my budy tried to hot wire it/ jump it to pass the starter signal and the car just clicked clicked.. i dont know what the problem could be.. i didnt take off no motor grounds etc.. im stumped so if anyone have any idea's what could be the problem please helpp me.. inless for some odd reason for the 3 days i had my fuel lines etc apart the starter went bad?? i dont know ...
what i 'would say is somthing in the system maybe resistance in the wires going from battery to starter.... double check all of you grounds kive never heard of sumthing like that where it wasnt either the battery or an electrical issue of the sort
whack the starter with something.
it sounds like your starter is shot, even though you didnt mess with it..... it could happen.

make sure the negative and the posotive are on the battery tight...cuz wenever i remove my battery or something it clicks twice and then nothing..but after i tighten them it strarts right up
Something like this happened to me before, and it ended up being that one of the the wires that was connected to my starter came out when I was working on the car....
And once it was plugged back in, it started up fine. Just another idea...

we checked battery, battery terminals are all new, grounds are all perfect, took the starter out to autozone and they tested it and said it was perfect - but im still gonna go to junkyard and get a diff one to try it..... and our main relay is fine- its priming and fuel is deff gettin to rail... so as far as people saying about the starter relay or fuse i have no clue where that is located so if anyone has any info let me know thanks

i can put a text light to the starter and on the positive side i got power i got power on signal and when i put ground and then wire to power it lights up. everthing check out to be fine.. but still turn key and no clicking or anything and i have minnty new red top optima battery.. im freaking out.. lol i didnt touch nothing on the car. in wire wise or grounds..
Replace the starter with a known working on. Rule it out. Then check the ground (with a multimeter) between the starter and the chassis.
To rule out anything mechanical with the engine (and I can guarantee it's not that) just bum start the car.

you check how much voltage is actually getting to the starter?
is its getting low voltage, trace it back, I believe is the thinker black wire with the white stripe

ok i was sitting in my car and i stomped the clutch petal bc i was mad and when i tried to start it turned over.. i stoped and my bro came out and i tried again and no thier nothing.. im guessin the clutch switch? or something..
dont test power with a test light
you need to get a multi-meter bc a test light iwll tell you your getting power but not tell you how much power is going to the starter
you need atleast 10.5-11v to start a car
