The largest complaints I hear are notched shifting and sycro problems first to second (especially in cold weather), no arm rest, the sub needs more thump. Any thoughts all?

 

*well lets see,..NO arm rest,..dosen't bother me all though I miss it,..but learned to use the other side(THE door),.compromise

*1st to 2nd,..barley does it,..and when it does,..itys gay it just makes a click,..no harm in that,its not like it dosen't want to go in gear & hasn't messed anything up,.if it does,.RIght back to Acura it will go!

*As far as "thump",..who cares it sounds perfect to me,...Way better then the damn GSR,LS and Type-R systems FOR sure!!!They suck!!!Unless you are a Stunna and want to listen to MAster P around town,.you won't like the Bose system,.but I guess it all depends on what kind of music you listen too.I dig it!And it is very Lightweight!

I guess its all about Compromise if you went from a DC2 to a DC5 like me but its a Different car,interior, system,shift(6speed),.etc,.everything is different and better,..although I think the Type-S dosen't need 6 speeds,.!!!!!Thats all I can gather!

as a non-RSX owner i can also say that i have a pet peeve FOR those who own an RSX.

 

pet peeves:

1) looks like a fat mouse
2) front looks like ***
3) Heavy

 

from my experience from driving a rsx loaner car for almost a week...this is my review...the interior is nice a trendy....girls think its pretty..guys think its cool... handles very welll ergenomics are great sound system is awesome , much better than the old tegs but , its exterior styling is bland, and a cl lookalike it sits like a jeep and this just may be me being stupid, but i hate the way the engine looks...honda engines use to look nice , clean , and simple, now its plasticy, and well *gulp* very american looking

 

I gotta ask,..whats wrong w/ the owners??

I could say I have a pet peeve for people that drive 4 doors,..but I didn't,..dosen't matter about the person,..maybe the attitude that some have but not the person themselves,..I can actually say SOme Type-R Drivers are DICKs!

Well guys regardless there will always be people hating on the rsx from now to whenever. Its mainly due to the fact that its new and they are scared of it. Like all new things there will be haters. Whenever something new comes out there are people who are jealous of it, wheather it is because they cant afford it, or the fact that they cant get it, or maybe they got beat by it no matter what there will be haters. As for now this DLo gsr is the new fusiontITR. He comes on and leaves stupid post which only leave us mad. Well to this I say ignore him. Look at the way fusionITR was, he came in talked crap and got us all riled up and mad for the longest time. He was ignored and he went away. So for now just ignore DLo gsr post and he will eventually notice no one is paying attention to him and leave.

And about the comment about most of the type R owners being dicks im going to have to disagree. I have met many type R owners and all of them were cool as hell to talk to. Most of them were interested in my car as much as I was in theres. I dont know which R owners you were talking to but most of them are cool, but then again it only takes a very small few to ruin it for the rest. The ones that seemed to be the biggest dicks that I have met have been the gsr owners. I guess that they are mad because thier car has been replaced. Oh well, **** happens I guess. I pay them no attentions as I pull on them. Plus you really cant see their mad faces in your rear vew mirror oh well happy hunting and good luck.

 

- Wish the radio was standard din or double din size and shape so I could swap it into my friend's lude and put my Nak in.

- Arm rest...eh...gotta get used to it.

- Mcpherson strut front...wished it was double wishbone, but don't see any major probs aside from aftermarket dampers for mcpherson's are much pricier.

- Amber part on the taillight.

- stock wheels are not my cup of tea.

Don't care too much about most of what I listed, except for the radio...argh!

 

Scared of it?? as in performance wise? racing me at a light or track?? not likely...

call me silly, but i could walk out right now and buy one no problem... just lemme run over to the bank and take out some cash... as far as owning one.. eh.. count me out.. I mean don't get me wrong.. it looks cute... might even have some get-go but I don't like it. I actually like the second gen integra over all 4 of the generations..

Your right.. the 4th generation Integra is here to replace the third gen.. but hey. all good things come to an end..

I have found a bunch of RSX owners to think they are the bomb.. paying no mind to anyone on my way home.. i have had several next to me give me the look and turn their nose up... but hey.. thats taken care of in short order...

It might be the next generation integra.. but it's no replacement.. just an addition to a long line of integras....

btw: I noticed in your sig your getting a JDM bodykit?? wouldn't that be best put to use in the form of a custom turbo setup??? See my JDM rant in kill forum if you don't know what I'm talking about...

 

i'm not scared of your guys's cars. i dont' really care if they can beat me, they probably can.

i didn't get into details because i didn't want to start a fight, but that's how i feel. so here's why.

i just don't like the drivers. almost every RSX driver i've met is arrogant, ignorant, and whiney. hey, i'm that too, but not to the degree as much of the people on this board. just take a look at some of your posts. like i have said before, i'm sure there are intelligent RSX drivers who don't display those traits, or who isn't what is often defined as the "typical" RSX driver. but you guys haven't shown me any yet.

go read the description of your forum and maybe some sense will come from this.

Well damn. You took apart my whole post.lol. And made comments on everything I said, well at least some people pay attention to me . And as for the part where I stated that I have meet alot of gsr onwers who were dicks I was telling the truth. Every gsr I have raced has always had a owner who acted like a dick afterwards. Just because you have a gsr does not make you the best. Just because I own a rsx-s does not make me the best. All comes down to the driver and the mods. Trust me im not cocky or act hard, hell I always tell the person I raced " good race "and shake his/her hand ( at the track) or give the thumbs up ( on the street) but almost every gsr I finish racing always acts like a dick to me. There have been a few, very very small few who acted cool with me. I have raced type R's and won some and lost some, and in the end we were cool with each other, no hating. But with gsr owners its different. Guess they dont like the fact that the rsx-s replaced the gsr. And yes the RSX type S did replace the gsr. RSX replaced the rs,gs, and ls, and the RSX type S replaced the gsr. And if the integra type R (rsx) comes it will replace the dc2 type R. So in the end all cars get replaced, and yes some day when honda decides they want new names mine will be replaced with the newer integra or what ever they call it as well. And as for performance wise on the rsx-s, ****, someday more stuff will be available.soon I hope. Not sure when, I doubt anyone does but soon I hope. As for the jdm body kit remark,hell Im getting a good deal on it. 7oo for the whole thing,minus the wing, to big. As for turbo kits available, there is none that I know of yet, I know greddy has one but I doubt its available yet. As for a custom built turbo, Im currently talking to a import shop about building one for me. Not sure on prices yet but they are going to help me. Im tired of being NA..lol. And when I commented about the gsr owners being dicks I was telling the truth. Hell there are ******** in everything. There are dicks who drive rsx's as well. There are stunnaz in gsr's , rsx's, **** I have even seen stunnaz in geos. hahaha yep hat turned sideways and everything bumping..lol. But in the end I guess only the true racers are cool with each other. Oh well, im just ranting now. Well good luck.

Oh well. On to the post:

1) The radio isn't TOO bad. It's much better than any previous Integra, but I think that those who were expecting the stock sub to sound like a JL W3 will be pretty pissed. What were you expecting, though?

2) No spare change holder. At least, not one that I have found.

3) The driver's side mirror likes to collect water and leak it profusely for a good 3 hours after I wash it.

4) The brakes, while good and solid, are way behind those of its closest competitor, the Celica GT-S. BUT, that's what HP Plus pads are for right?

5) Stock tires suck ***.

I don't have any kind of gear grind, but I do think that those who say the RSX handles better than any previous gen Teg need to be shot. Maybe it's a close competition with a GSR, but the old ITR will run circles around it, in both acceleration, handling and especially braking. I imagine that it will be hard for the DC5R to overcome the weight issue and higher center of gravity in regards to it outhandling the DC2R. I liked the old suspension better stock vs. stock, but this new one has LOADS of potential.

Yeah it has been one of those days. Is it just me or has today seemed like a week? Oh well, works almost done and im almost off. And it has seem that most rsx owners like the integra more. hhmmmm..lol. Well when you get the rsx stock its a little to high and the stock tires do suck ***. haha. Lower it and get better tires and its a nice car. Well good luck guys, and just be glad its almost friday ( oh yea now I feel better)

i'm not putting down the car. i'm putting down the impressions its drivers have given me. i didn't make these impressions. you guys did. when a guy comes in and posts "should i dump turbo in new rsx" without knowing a thing about what he's talking about besides VROOM VROOM, or when someone posts "People are jealous that they dont have an RSX so the only way they can handle thier ***** envy is by trashing what they dont have" and onther example, "every modification voids your acura warranty", it gives me the impression i now hold.

i told you almost every RSX driver i've met is arrogant, ignorant, and whiney. you just showed me all three.

RSX shmar s X.. to each his own. DC5 is more refined than the DC2, but i would have to say in a luxurious sense and the engine is.. "tamer".

is one better than the other? not necessarily, but i am biased. what do i know..

and yes.. there is a stereotype going around about RSX owners... and type R owners.. unfortunately.

 

hell i dont know abouit you guyz but i would want to consider import peeps my friends, no matter what they drive, especially other integra and rsx owners...the ones i really have a beef with is those dang cockblocking...pric *** v8 boys..always taunting me...there may be stuff i dislike about the RSX, but then there was stuff i disliked about the DC2 when it came out too...but i still have respect for the new kid *dc5*, and there owners...were the same blood ya know..RIGHT?
