Default Windage Tray

Anyone know anything about these devices? I assume that this is installed into your existing oilpan, correct? http://www.f22parts.com/item_windagetray.htm

I'm just wondering if this is a viable performance part as it states it is. Has anyone had any experience with these things or is it not worth it?

It may provide a little relief in the way of oil resistance, but 7 HP gain is bullllllshit

yes, but for example... and correct me if I'm wrong, I believe the F22B1 has a windage tray while the F22B2 does not. So I'm going to assume that not all F22 variants have a windage tray.

LOL No Shiot. From my experience in the past with power claims from all these companies, is that what you should do when calculating HP after the install is, take the set of numbers they claim (5-15 HP increase), Use the first number (5), then cut that in half = 2.5 is the actual realized gain you should receive!!

If I were to add up all the claimed HP numbers on parts I have on my Cord, I should have like 450 HP! LOL!!! When in all reality, I'm barely at 200.

So, I guess I should just look for a junk F22B1 to strip the oil pan off of and save a few bucks then.

I don't know if the mounting or anything else is the same but if it is then by all means

Yes f22b1's definately have a windage tray stock, thats all they are reselling on f22parts from the looks of it.

The main girdle on the f22b1 is pretapped for the windage tray to bolt onto it. If other f22's are similarly tapped (which is possible, but I am not sure)... you would be good to go... otherwise you would also need the main girdle from the f22b1.

Ok yea, I wonder if when they are stamping these F22 blocks out, if they use the same casting methods for all the blocks, but then just place different heads on for the different variants (B1 and B2). Surely, to save time and money, they would use the same basic blocks for each one...
