Default so im a noobie rider with a 2006 250 ninja...

ok, I have in total 5 days riding on this ninja and I still picking up the tricky tricks. I got this bike from my brother and he got it from a friend that upgraded to a 600 something. I need to know where I can buy some front shocks. This bike has bad front shocks and they are not adjustable. Another thing i would like to buy is a new exhaust system. This bike is too quite and I would like to get notice a bit more. I know how to work on cars and I can just tell that working on a bike is a piece of cake. Just point the way to where I can buy and maybe throw me some pointers for the help. Thx.

Beat the crap out of it till you can ride it to the max. Then go buy a real bike. You can't do **** for the front forks so deal with them. The exhaust sounds like crap no matter what you put on it so don't waste your money.

that's the best reason to ride the F out of it.

you'll hate it eventually and complain about the damn 250, and when you get your 600 you'll feel like you wasted your time on the 250.

but when you're so much faster than all of your buddies who started on 600's, you'll think back on that ol' 250 and realize that it made you everything you are...

just ride the thing. the fact that it has 2 wheels and a motor is the important part. After 5 days of riding, all of the other stuff is irrelevant.

the best short term solution to soft forks is replacing the fork oil with a heavier wheight (thicker). This stiffens up the rate. Theres a lof of stuff about how to do it on SVrider.com but thats for SVs cuz they have the same problem. Not sure if its the same for 250s. Do a sh*t load of research. Replacing fork oil isnt very difficult but it's definitely not a walk in the park. Hope that helps.

Good choice on the 250 BTW. Just dont spend a lot of money on it. Beat it into the ground and sell it. Youll probably still make money.

EDIT: I need to start proofreading before I click post... Im retarded.

You've only been riding it for 5 DAYS! Shut up about modifying it!

Spend your money on gear. Save all the rest for a bigger bike in the future, WHEN you're ready for it.

How old are you?
