F4i missing, why??
heres the deal 01 F4i has been layed down on both sides b4 has 16k on it and for some reason when i hit the throttle i dont get an imediate response it sortof bogs down and gets **** poor gass milage. ive check fuel preasure, plugs, throttle position sensor, spark, ive switched computers and from reading the service manual it sounds like its something ignition realated but as of yet im not sure. I ordered a ignition pulse generator and will probally try that out but the only other thing that i can think to do that i know i shuold is sync the carbs for which i need to a tool to do that so besides that im not sure and was hoping for some help.

Is the FI light on? I know that some later model Honda's made for the CA market came with o2 sensors; people remove them since aftermarket exhausts do not have holes for them...

the only diagnosis i'm familiar with for the symptoms you're describing is a carbed bike that's running way rich... but being a fuel injected computer controlled bike, is it possible for it to be that rich? i dunno. this might be a completely pointless post, but that's all i can think of.
edit: maybe your injectors are fouled up and you're getting incomplete atomization and an uneven burn????

i think tommorrow im going to pull the air filter and check that and following that pull the injector and look at thier flow pattern, check all hoses i may even set up a homemade TB sync tool. im getting pissed that this bike is just sitting in my garage and i finally have a little time time to work on it now that its warming up here in mn
tell me about it. i live in socal and the weather is getting better and better. but my bike has been out of comission for 6 months and I still I cant figure out why its not getting spark.

thats so sad you live in socal and and you bike out of commision for a bit. just kidding around with you but out here in MN if you dont have you bike working during the good 5 months of the year your screwed because unlike socal we have winter which really sux because im originally a socal boy to and i curse m parents all the time for moving me to this freezing state, Im jealous. hopefully e a y boh ou bike up soon.
anyways i was messing around with the bike today, i took the air filter out and took it for a ride and that might have helped slightly but not the problem. what i did notice is though that when i disconnected the wrong vacc line when i was about to try and do a TB sync that a little bit of fuel is coming out of this line and its the vac line that attaches to the fuel preasure regulator and from my knowledge of cars i dont think that should happen and so that may be my problem so i may have to order one up. any thoguhts
