Between the two Is a rebuilt title bad? Is there any problems registering and insuring it or is it safer to stay with the clean titlE?

The car will always have a horrible resale value. If you plan on making it an eternal keeper then get it. As for registration and all that, you shouldnt have any problems.

I've owned 2 cars with branded titles. One however was my fault since Insuranc totalled the car during an accident. Anyways, as mentioned above, if it's a keeper than definitely get it but if you know you're eventually gonna sell it then don't get it since you'll get raped later on when trying to sell it. I think branded titles is a way to save good money on a car you want. Actually, my daily driver has a branded title and I was able to get it for a steal of a deal. I traded my 2002 4 door Civic LX with 77k miles for a 2003 Acura RSX Base w/ 61k miles but with a branded title. I knew I would keep that RSX so I got it! noone can tell the difference and I got a killer deal. Not to mention, I did this through a dealership Anyways, whatever you choose or whatever route you go, good luck and hope you make the right decision. Just take your time and in many cases, "patience" is the key.

I owned a salvage title and I didn't have problems... Alot of people will tell you to wait and pick up a clean title. Honestly, if everything is straight on it (i.e. - frame, body, etc...) and you plan on having it as your project and you don't plan on selling it for a long time, then it's no big deal. You can find a salvage/rebuilt title car for considerably cheaper than most want for a clean title. Especially with the fact that people know that these cars are sought after, most will milk every bit of money out of the buyer for a clean title. The one thing I have observed though is, I have never seen one seller say that the salvage title was due to an accident. Every single one I've ever seen always says salvage due to theft. I think this more often than not is just BS because who really cares if the care if the car was stripped and new parts were put in. But most buyers would pass up a car that was totalled due to an accident. I think it's shady sellers trying to pass a problem off to someone else. Just take caution on any used car you buy (that's obvious).

Mine was straight and I loved the car, but what got me in the end was the stigma of it being salvaged. There was nothing wrong with it. I have a couple of buddies that I work on cars with that also have EG's and theirs are both clean titles and it just bugged me.
