95 civic coupe, which engine will fit
95 civic coupe, currently has 1.5 lsi engine, does the 1.6 dohc vtec engine fit in ok or is there adjustments to be made, if not which engine would suit best
nothing came up? I suck at searching but damn man... the sticky at the top of this forum.

the LSI part of your question is going to be the hitch. It's been a little while but the LSI is SPFI correct? (or is it carb'd??) So converting to MPFI is a must if you want more power. If you don't care simply drop in another LSI engine and off you go.

Pretty much any engine will fit, you just have to have the correct motor mounts. I am not totally sure if dohc will bolt up right up (probably not). But if you want a good engine i would stick to the DOHC. I am assuming this is a ZC motor?

just to the left of the exhaust manifold (while facing the engine) there is a small 2"x2" flat surface. the engine code will be on there. I think yours is D15B7... but I could be wrong.

I have a 94 ex coupe, and I swapped a b18c1 gsr w/ other goodies and it runs like a DREAM. If you can get a good deal on a gs-r aka b18c1 jump on it.... as for what your car came with originally it probably was a d16z6 which has good potential for turbo... but in the long run you really are going to be better off with a 1.8 liter dohc.
