MOTOR IN MY 88 EF HATCH.. HELP!!!!!

Default MOTOR IN MY 88 EF HATCH.. HELP!!!!!

I HAVE AN OIL LEAK IN MY BLOCK SO IM PLANNING ON BUYING A NEW MOTOR SOON BUT WAS WONDERING WHAT MOTOR I SHOULD BUY??.. IM LOOKING TO SPEND ABOUT 500 TO 700 AND ME AND MY BROTHER ARE INSTALLING THE MOTOR OURSELFS.. ANY SUGGESTIONS??????

I WAS THINKIGN MAYBE AN LS MOTOR OUT OF A INTEGRA DA??

THAST WHAT I WAS THIINKING TOO... DO U THINK I SHOULD JUSS SPEND 1100 AND GO WITH A FIRST GEN B16 INSTEAD?? IT SHOULD BOLT RIGHT IN FOR MY CAR AND ME AND MY BRO INSTALLED A COUPLE FOR THE HOMIE SO WE CAN DO IT QUICK

you are going to need more than 1100 to swap in a b16.

you will need mounts, linkage, rear tranny bracket, wiring, and axles, hoses, belts, etc. that will put you way over 1100.

try doing a dohc zc. fun little motor. it will bolt right in. you just have to do some distributor rewiring and you will be done.

oh yeah.... TURN OFF THE CAPS!!!!!

its not that bad motor alone is about 550 like he said do some rewireing and your good to go but if you dont want to have problems in the future then change every thing (timing belt,water pump,gaskets,ect,) cus if you dont you will hate your self later

hwo much for all that... will it run under a grand and would it be deacently quick in my 88 hatch?

yeah lets see for parts i would say about 350-400 now thats changeing every thing wich you dont have to do but i would just to be safe and yes it will be quick

is your hatch si if not dose it have the MPFI conversion done
if not you need more money

yeah go with the zc bolts right up sensors and everything you can even use your stock pm6 ecu if you have an si but i would get an integra ecu 88-93 i think have the ecu u need anyway i need a new dohc zc for my current ef project i need it asap so pm me if anyone has one thanks lots
