Neoprene seat to go along with the surfing theme!
Maybe some highlight (black) edging/pinstriping along either side of the stripe? Me not familiar with racing stripes or painting much.

Bike looks great! Old bikes are fly

that is bad ***.

I like the neoprene seat idea that would be unique.

That engine could use some simple green!

You need some chrome though
Not a fan of chrome, but on old bikes it loks great.

I like! Very cool build-up. The neoprene seat idea is good, you could possibly get 2 layers of 2mm neoprene in there and still be lightweight. Just make sure you cover the neoprene with something to keep the water out. I can see it soaking up water and smelling like a moldy wetsuit in no time

Awesome bike. I'd love to have a bike like that, but I don't want to do the work. haha.

Looks great man, you're giving me lots of good ideas for my cafe build up this summer. Where did you get the seat from??? Everything looks great, keep up the good work.

Keep up the progress! Let me know if you need any help... i've had mine on the road for a few months now I love it!

Are the carbs already set up for those pod filters?

The carb sync is only half the battle - i've read that a lot of people struggle with the pod filter setup and go back to the stock airbox - maybe because its easy to sort out, just set everything to factory spec and ride it

FWIW, I used #78 mains (stock #75), stock pilot/air jets/float height, and the air mix screw 1-1/8 to 1-1/4 turns out (stock is 2-2.5). Timing and carb sync set to stock spec. It runs sweeeeet... well for 35 hp

Is that a stock exhaust on the bike? I'm not sure if the jetting will change with an aftermarket muffler... but its really easy to get the fuel mixture too fat and foul the plugs.

Well, thats what I said initially but it took some patience. Its really easy to go too rich, and its also really easy to make the throttle roll-on totally awful.

I bought it for ~$1200 on ebay. Bike had the konis, new tank, side covers and new chrome on the headers.... but it hadnt run in several years. The brake system had to be gone through, one of the ignition condensors were bad and the carbs needed a rebuild - that was a fiasco, as one of the jets in my rebuild kit broke off in the carb (cheap aftermarket junk... it all went in the trashcan) and I had to buy another set that I rebuilt with all oem parts ($$$). Went through a few sets of plugs and jets getting it dialed in with the pod filters, and I've got a set of clutch plates I need to install in it. I probably put another $400-500 in parts into it... it runs great All screaming 38hp.... it'll do almost 90mph flat out

Hey, I asked about pics a few months ago. Can't PM a brother?

Just kidding man. The bike looks great, and the paint turned out really well. I dig the stripe.

You'd have to add a brake light - in Va, you dont need turn signals (you can signal with your arms) and you only need one rearview mirror
