no safe place to mount the upper point.
roll over, no where to duck=break your neck and compress your spine
bad way to go imho, even worst if you didn't die

the short answer: not safe to run with those without a proper mounting points</TD></TR></TABLE>
thats NOT the reason why its not safe to run harness w/o a roll bar/cage... basically if you roll over w/o a roll bar, theres a chance that the roof will crushed.. you wouldnt be able to duck with the harness on unless you have quick reflexes and release the harness in time..
you can mount a custom bracket that will hold you in place.. remove that rectangle plastic panel behind the seat.. it would require you some welding..
ask me how i know... i speak for experience
btw, you need to get the "short version" harness .. the regular harness is too long for 2 seaters..

You have obviously never rolled a car before. If you think you have the time, or the power to "duck" during a roll over, you're sadly mistaken. The G forces are so great, you are pretty much tossed around, and its damn near impossible to hang on. It also happens so fast, you probably don't even know what happened until you get out and look at the damage. ask me how i know... i speak for experience
The reason the manufactures of the after market belts do not have a DOT certification can be from one of many reasons. Most of the time, they are made for "racing", not the street, and there is no need to spend the money to obtain a DOT certification for a race part, only FIA or SFI rating, whichever safety organization's its target market is in. Secondly, most of the after market harnesses fail the "one button push" test for release, even ones with a 1/4 turn release.

you just said what i just said dude.
i doubt anyone can have the quick reflex to do that in a rollover, plus you can be 100 ft away thru the glass shield
i don't get you about the custom bracket, the custom bracket for the shelter harness angle? i am held in place by my damn seat
if i am doing all that, then i might as well get a roll bar/hoop that have a proper seat belt anchor/mount

notice the 2 min difference? i posted before you did but then i edited mine... i wouldnt be able to type that long in two minutes...
"unless" you have quick reflex.. its a figure of speech...
i welded a plate behind the seat which is attached to the frame... drilled 2 holes for the eye bolts, spot welded it and secure with a nut...

4 points in a daily driven car is just for bling.
my track car has a 4 point roll bar, 5 point harness and seat because they need them, not because they look cool.
