How much horsepower should I expect to lose if I replace my ITR head with a 00 Si B16a2 head. I will using the ITR valvetrain, Manifold, block, cams, pistons, everything ITR but just a b16 head. I know the head is the same except for the porting. Any one know how much HP's should I expect to lose?

take it to a machine shop and have the seats blended before you put the head in
and you will lose almost nothing.

Can you explain this process of having the "Seats Blended"? So I can explain this to the machinist. I'm a novice at this game. I need some insight from you Honda Gurus. Thanks.

 

also get itr intake valves if u can since they are cheap.
take it all to a machine shop, tell them you want the valve seats blended and
you want a good valve job(radiused seat) done and you'lll have something that
will most likely outperform an itr head

 

Whats the usual price range for this kind of work?
