Head question?
I have a spare b16 and trans at my friends house w/o a head. One of our friends is selling a built b18 type-r head, i wanted to know if there was any difference?

Both the ITR and the B16 are have a PR3 casting for the head. The ITR has porting in the valve seats. The intake valves, the lost motion assemblies, and the valve springs (double for both intake and exhaust on the ITR) are better in the ITR head. You can use the ITR head and it will be better than a stock B16 head.
The ITR head should be stamped PR3-X, where X is a number. Check that the intake valves are necked near the valve head.
