Default Quick question: Emergency brake

I was wondering how to tighten an ebrake for an 88 hatch, i search this forum but didnt find anything.

Its hard to explaid it but I will try. Ok, so the Ebrake is attached to a cable which you need to tighten. Follow your ebrake lever back and then down the back of your plastic interior piece that goes around the ebrake. There is a little rectangle with rounded edges. Get a flat head screw driver and pry it open. In there you will see 2 cables, one for each rear wheel, and in the middle is a nut. You need to tighten that. Not sure which way to turn it but you will figure it out. Turn it and try the ebrake. Once it starts getting better then your money. Sorry if this is really confusing. But if you need more help I will try to post up some pics of it.

I prefer just adjusting the rear shoes, if you don't have discs.

Typically if the e-brake is look it means that your rear drums need adjusted. The e-brake should only come up 2-4 clicks.
