I have an intercoole that I need to make custom endtanks for and I just wanted to see who has cut endtanks off before. I have a very nice band saw at work, and I was thinking about using that and just cutting right down the core side of the weld, does anyone know if this will be okay to do? Thanks.

Perfect, exactley what I was looking for. Did you cut it off on the endtank side of the weld? Thats what it looks like I just want to make sure.

I pretty much cut the weld in half. Took 20 seconds just about.

Yeah I was just thinking about letting Jeff cut them off for me

I hate plasma cutters, its nice and fast for big industrial stuff or anything that is going to get mig welded after haha. Seriously if you don;t have a big band saw get some Al, .045 cut off wheels and you'll be done in less than 5 minutes and as long as you don't have the shakes you'll have a nice cut.

Im deffinatley going to use out bandsaw at work, its a Hyd-Mech SD200. It was over $15,000, so hopfully it will make a good cut on my $400 intercooler haha.
