Clutch Replace yet not working.
Ok so I replaced the clutch in my car recently. I drove the car out of the garage and into the yard to wash it. I noticed just a little bit of hesitation when I was going into reverse. I dont remember if there was any starting out in first but I'm sure there was...
Everything was put together correctly and I even drained and then refilled the tranny with fluid.
It takes a little effort to shift into gear and when I'm in gear and I take my foot off the clutch it doesn't stall... The clutch wouldn't of burnt out that quick would it?
I also took off the clutch access cover to see if a pressure plate spline or anything else may be sitting at the bottom of the tranny and I see nothing.
Also my battery was dead so while my grandpap was over jumping it I had it sittin there running while we were talking and I heard metal tinging noises for a few seconds but I'm not sure where it came from. All fluid levels are correct and the clutch fork cylinder moves in and out perfectly...
I'm in a MAJOR bind because of this so any thoughts and help would be GREATLY thanked.

did you install the clutch disc backwards? It happens to alot of first timers. Also, I hope you didnt touch the disc with your greasy hands, that can cause a slippery clutch. As for hard shifting, check the shift linkage, and make sure that the bushing arent getting stuck, or that its binding somewhere.
