Default Accord 1992 Ex (Auto)

Hi guys, first of all very happy to came to the right site where I can get much experience from you gusy.

I have a subject car with 231k and got some problem 3 days before as during driving I got yellow engine sign and then I did switch off the ignition and then start it again then no sign.

After returning from work on highway got engine sign and ignition switch off auto then found out that the starter has two bolt for tighting with engine I found one and other one was missing thats why the the one bolt whole was broken.

I couldn't found the starter for subject car but found of accord 1998 and fixed well and start perfectly. But yesterday same problem of comming again the yellow engine sign and ignition switch goes off auto and after stop car I did start again and started but only on the highway not in city means when I try to reach above 120km/hr.

Anyone has some experience with this kind of problem.

I really appericate and early reply.

Thanks in advance.

John

that is a check enging light. You need to check your CEL codes to see what is going on. This is going to have nothing to do with your starter bolts.

Yes you are right now but before the whole where the bolts goes in was broken and thats why I change the starter now this part is works fine.

But for comming engine signes where I can find out CEL codes as Im new and don't have any such mechanical exp.

I do hope you didn't mind it.

Looking forward for ur possitive response.

This is the link from the 'Guide to Basic Accord', up top in the stickies:

http://www.c-speedracing.com/faq/06.php

You can just use a wire or paper clip to jumper the plug.
