when is a good time to change the timing belt?? how do you know if it needs to be change?? pls heelp..

 

I like to do it every 80k-90k miles.

Unless it's making noise or you can actually see it shredding,there's no way to tell that it's starting to break,which is why you just do it every XXXX miles..

 

does it cause the car to lack accleration?? because my car seems to acclerate very slow in a high rpm and it doesnt really move and it kicks in on a high rpm.

 

It wouldn't be noticable unless it was off a couple of teeth, causing the timing to be wrong.

What engine do you have?

 

can it be the clutch is wearing out that makes me acclerate so slow in 1st gear. will a new clutch improve my accerleration at a low rpm and on 1st gear.

 

What motor do you have?

 

its only a d16a6 but its seems like something is holding it back from accelerating in 1st to 2nd but the rest of the gears are fine it actually accerlates quickly.

 

What car did you drive before?

 

i mostly drive this car. i dont really know whats wrong it seems like it got weaker. its has 220k on it. idk..if its the clutch or something else but it seems like im revving it to much and im not really going anywhere.

 

Might just need a tune-up
