Default mini me piston to valve clearence question

has anybody run into any piston to valve clearence issues when doing the mini me swap using a stock bottomend D16a6 with a Z6 head? from what i found doing searches its should be no problem using the stock a6 bottomend with stock z6 cam. what i am concerned about is the clearences when adding an aftermarket cam then adjusting the cam gear.
thanks for you time.

You will be fine, but it all depends on what pistons you will be using.

the bottomend will be stock D16a6. so if i use a z6 head with an aftermarket cam i want to make sure the valves will not hit the pistons. i know can do a piston to valve clearence check using the clay method when i put the head on the block using the stock z6 cam, but i'll be upgrading the cam at a later date and don't want to remove the head just to do the clearence check. i'm just trying to save some time and money, but if i have to do it then oh well it's better then bending valves.
