A/C in 89 CR-X with b16a
Is it possible to do? I seem to remember a bracket was available from Hasport, but it isn't on their web page. I did search but found no answer here on H-T. Now I know it is possible to do, can anyone point me in the right direction for me to be able to do this? Where can I find the parts?

hasport makes a bracket for the orginal(i think) compressor to go on the b16, from there as far as i know its stock routing. although, you HAVE to replace the receiver/drier as well as the compressor if either have been sitting in the elements for longer than a day or so. but imo its well worth it, i could only imagine my crx with a/c

im almost positive that it doesnt matter, as long as the engine is in the car like it should be than you shouldnt have to worry about it. make sure you call hasport before you drop any money though. they know best
Contact JDMShit.com 909-399-3405 they make one that's much cheaper. Mine was like $120- (or right around there) I run a B in my CRX with AC and it fits fine. The bracket is for the CRX AC compressor not the teggy. However, when you talk to them find out which compressor it will work with because the CRX came with one of two different models.
It's a little tight though (especially with a Koyo radiator)

All you need is the Hasport A/C bracket, and the pulley. I believe the pulley comes with the bracket. I just purchased a '88 CRX, B16a powered, and the a/c works great. It retains all original fans, only thing not original is the Hasport a/c bracket, and pulley. Look closely in this pic, you'll see the bracket. The condensor fan was pulled out during this pic, I was replacing it.

I got a b16 bracket and my stock compressor fit, but I could only use two bolts one on the top and one on the bottom of opposite sides. have not tried it yet though, just got it mounted in there. i don't know if its a good idea to run it without the condenser fan (stock one will not fit) so thats why I have not really bother, plus I'm in Germany right now so no need. Anyone know about running AC w/ out that fan though?
BTW: MikeFabRex that little thing that comes off of your intake tube and goes to the throttle cable (round w/ vac tube) can be removed.

I used an integra bracket with tq mount. Cut the tq mount off and did some fabbing to get the d series compressor to line up on it. Use this as a guideline.. http://www.geocities.com/crxls18/ACmod.html

thats how i have it..b16 stock ac mount but only 2 bolt hook up and a slim fan

The cleanest way to do it is to bite the bullet and buy the Hasport kit. It comes with the aluminum mounting bracket that works with both compressors that were available on the car originally and a metal mounting bracket that holds the tensioning pulley.
That's what I have on my 89 SI hatchback with GSR.
What becomes an issue is clearance for the "AC" fan (the one on the drivers side). That's kind of a variable due to where your engine mount kit places the engine. My mounts (based on old Place Racing mounts) placed the engine forward to the point that I couldn't even mount a "slim fan" between the radiator and compressor. I had to use a pusher fan and that can cause other clearance problems.
If you want to use a pusher fan, there is an AC line that runs right across the front of the radiator that's in the way.
Here is a write-up on what I did, but please keep in mind that I think I had just about every clearance problem possible!!
