01 integra harness into this harness?
Possibly, that looks like the Honda/Acura 1986-1997/98 radio harness adapter, the newer Honda/Acura use this one... http://www.scosche.com/scosche...HA08B
However I have seen more then a few post 97/98 Integra with the older radio harness plug and only 2 or 3 with the newer plug.
Only way I know how to be sure is to pull the HU and check.

More then likely it will use that harness. I just did a new nsx and it had the older style harness.
Because the "body style" did not change much after the G3 teg, 94-95 and Honda did not start changing the plugs till 97-98, most Honda/Acura where changed over by 99, except the cars that had no real style changes, dashes stayed the same so did the dash harness, it wasn't till they ran out of stock of the older style HUs that new dash harnesses had to be made.
That's why you will find post 98 tegs with the older harness/plug and ones with the newer ones, and all the guides indicate the newer plugs for 99 and up tegs... http://www.metraonline.com/dow...T.pdf
It's like a little surprise that Honda leaves for car audio installers

Even if I could see the HU it wouldn't help, other then there not being a AutoMeter Sport Comp tach on the dash it could be a pix of my 94LS.
all 94-01 integs use the the older honda plug you have shown
i dont usually see "smart harnesses" anymore. where did you get it circuit city?

Get the Metra kit for your car, you will use the stock rear support bar for the the HUs rear support, you can also "custom" install it using the stock pocket, but you will have to make brackets to hold the pocket to the aftermarket HU and then use the stock rear support bar to hold it all in, just like the stock HU.

You will have to make "brackets" using stuff like this... http://www.scosche.com/scosche...=BS18 use it to make a "strap" for each side to replace the stock clip/bracket that holds the pocket to the stock HU, you will have to drill a smaller hole in the strap to fit the screw that goes into the pocket but you will use one of the holes in the strap to screw it to the ISO mounting holes on sides of the aftermarket HU, what holes you use will depend on how far back you want the HU to sit, use the flat head Philips screws that come with the HU.
You will also need a rear support, the HU also has a mounting hole on the back, you will need to bend the strapping into a brace that runs from the back of the pocket, [you will drill a hole in the back of the pocket so you can put a nut and bolt through it to hold the strap] at an angle to the back bottom edge of the HU then straight up the back, you need a hole in the strap to line up with the hole in the back of the HU, hint.... the hole you drill in the back of the pocket does not have to be in the center, [up/down], in fact the lower it is the better.
Once put together the pocket and aftermarket HU should be solidly mounted together, with the face of the HU centered in the upper part of the double din opening when installed.
Once you have the pocket attatched to the HU properly, you will need to make an "L" bracket, also mounted to the back of the HU, [same screw/bolt that holds the pocket bracket to the back of the HU, the bottom of the L (_) should be flush with the bottom of the HU, just like the the "extended" bottom plate of the stock HU that the two mounting screws go into, Honda/Acura in their great wisdom also put a hole/slot in the center of the stock back support, although I have never seen it used for a stock HU, the "L" bracket will also be bolted/screwed to the stock back support, just like the stock HU.
Here are some more hints....
Use the screw that held the small clip/bracket to the pocket, if you have to replace them, get ones that are the same diameter, bigger ones will slit the stand off.
Get 3-5 of the straps, I have done hundreds of custom installs on double din openings and I still hardly ever get it right the first time, [centering HU in the opening] and it may require making new straps, but that's where hint #3 comes in.
That long slot at one end of the strap is very handy, think adjustment.
Use the slot as the mounting hole for the HU, sides and back, and use the pan head screws that come with most units to mount them
A vice and a hammer will make it easy to bend the strapping at clean, sharp angles.
Bending a strap at a hole is also easier.

BTW, The above is not hard to do if you have the proper tools and some patience, with a little more work and the face of a stock HU, you can make a "dummy" face that when in place will look like the your car has a stock HU.

omg, this is not that hard of a job lol. why not get this kit
http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm...il.do
And finish this. So there is not all this work to use the factory pocket.
