NO SPARK
95 accord lx i just changed the head gasket everything worked before i did this. i have no spark i have power to my coil. so i pulled out my Chilton's book and did alittle reading and my brother tested my igniter unit and said he thinks its bad so i went and found a distributor off of my h23 motor and looked at that and it had the same igniter unit in it so i had him check that for me and they both read the same thing. so we switched them and still no spark. the votage between the black/yellow and ground were good and the voltage between the green and ground were good. but when the ignition was off. i checked the yellow/green between the control module and the igniter there was no continuity. and the same between the tachometer and igniter for continuity. if anyone understand what im trying to say here could u please help me ill post pictures up if needed.
below is what the chiltons book says what to do
94-95 accord
1.remove cap, rotor and inner cover.
2.disconnect wire from igniter.
3.check voltage between the black/yellow wire and ground. battery voltage should be resent with the ignition ON. If voltage is not present, check the black/yellow wire between ignition switch and the igniter.
4.Check for voltage between the green wire and ground. battery voltage should be present with ignition on. If voltage is not present, check the ignition coil and the green wire between the ignition coil and the igniter.
5.turn ignition switch off.
6.check the yellow/green wire between the engine control module and the igniter for continuity. then check blu 1 wire between the tachometer and the igniter for continuity.
7.if wiring is ok and problem exists the igniter is probably at fault.
that is exactly what chiltons book says to chech the iginiter unit
