no Spark 1990 Accord..
Was Driving then all of a sudden engine Died.... pulled over tried restarting( turns over) .. but nothing.. recently I replaced O-ring in distributor from bad oil leak..Had Gas/new battery.. so I checked for spark.. NOTHING... so I went ahead and replaced with new distributor/cap/rotor(whole unit).. still no Spark!! ... thought it was main relay but don’t think that has to do with spark? More to fuel... any help guys.. much appreciated!

Re: no Spark 1990 Accord..
How are you checking for spark?
Also, did you disconnect anything else near the distributor? There is at east one crucial ground wire in that area, near the thermostat housing, that must be attached.
Check your wires, especially the coil, at both ends. The contacts can get contorted or folded inside the rubber boots, and what feels like a solid plug-in, is actually no electrical connection at all.

I appreciate the heads up.. I got another new distributor(possibly new distributor faulty) that I’m gonna swap tomorrow... I did disconnect that ground on the thermostat.. I will double check the connections again.. it does seems it’s something small ... I checked to see the Black/yellow going to the distributor for power with test light and getting power there just nothing from then on.. will keep posted...

Re: no Spark 1990 Accord..
Update: Tried/checked everything... thinking faulty New Distributor... went back Auti Parts store and exchanged for another new one... installed/tightened everything up... Started right up 😉... so was it a faulty New Distributor? .. so while engine was running and clipping both harnesses to Bracket on distributor and engine dies!! Go to restart and just cranking??? So I go back and remove bigger harness from bracket and go to start!! She starts up!!! So I try jiggling the bigger harness again and dies again... so it’s definitely a loose connection from the harness.. thanks “Brakedrum”

A pin may have backed out of the connector.
Push each individual pin(wire) into the connector housing to make sure it is seated, if one feels loose or crunchy disconnect the harness and inspect the connection.
